Karl: "I get tattoos because I see them as a way of self-expression. I use them to display key moments in my life on my canvas-like body. It helps show people who I am. I think that sometimes tattoos with deeper meaning have more of a story to them and therefore more interesting to me but the majority of the time, the artwork speaks for itself."
Mason: "I like how they look on me. It allows me to stand out, why wouldn't you want to? People should be entitled to get tattoos without a reason and they don't owe anyone an explanation as to why."
Quinn: "I love collecting art on my body, they make me happy. I don't think that tattoos should need to have a meaning, they can be purely for art and body customisation."
Jodie: "They hold memories that I want to remember forever and they are pretty fun. Fun tattoos can capture people's personalities and meaningful ones can show connections to family, friends and passion. It all depends on what the person wants to show."
Alex: "I like getting tattoos because they look interesting and they all have a meaning, my tattoos are there because I want them to be. They are a part of me. I don't think that people need to have an explanation as to why they got a tattoo other than they like said tattoo."
Kriss: "I like getting tattoos because they bring me joy, they make me smile and only a few of mine are attached to personal stories. I think people should be able to get tattoos without meaning and not feel judged for doing so. Art is cool."
Nathan: "To put it simply, I get tattoos because why the hell not? I don't think that tattoos should have a deeper meaning because the body is a canvas, deep connections are not always necessary."
Ethan: "Tattoos make me feel so much more confident. I also love fashion and tattoos are able to compliment outfits well. I think that if you like the idea of having meaningful tattoos then you should get those but tattoos can be just art for example, a drawing you like."
Nadine: "I get tattoos of sentimental value and of things I like. I think tattoos are individual to the person who has them and it may just be because they like the look of it but that is down to personal choice and if they love it then it should not matter."
